Do you punish yourself when you do something wrong?

I do. The severity of my punishment depends on what I did. If I snap wrongfully at my parents, I will assign 100 pushups to be done by the end of the day. If I act like an idiot at school or on a message board, I will assign around 300 pushups to be done by the end of the day. If I do something else wrong, such as wrongfully hurt a student badly in school, I will assign about 300-500 pushups, and if I do something severe, I will assign 1000 puhups or more.

Pushups aren't the only thing, though. I tend to punish myself by inflicting pain on myself, thogh without harming myself. One such example was one night I commited insubordniation amongst my parents, so I restricted myself from bringing my GameBoy to the restaurant we were eating at for dinner, restricted myself from eating dinner that night (I told my parents I wasn't hungry as an excuse) and I forced myself to double-cross my legs during the whole 1-hour dinner session at the restaurant. Near the end of the hour, it felt like someone had taken an extremely hot branding pole and seared it right into my skin, it was so painful.

So, yes, I do punish myself, I do it for discipline, of course. But you don't want to be ridiculous when you punish yourself or otherwise you might wind up injuring yourself- not a good thing.

Does anyone else here ever punish themselves?

Don't harm yourself by punishing though, it'll become a severe habit and is self-mutilation. However, I too punish myself...

I hardly do anything wrong. But when I do, I slap my head and/or face and I'd be like, "Why'd I do that???" So, I do punish myself, but not severely.

Lets see the only time I punished myself is when I was being stuped at school and when I got home I played the Pain Station with my brother... and I lost every time

I don't think anyone should punish themselves, it is stupid, and it takes the fun out of it for others.

The fun out of it? When I do something stupid I just scream inside my head like,"What an idiot!". If it's really stupid THEN I punch myself,and it does hurt quite a bit.

That's just funny though. It's more fun if you punch someone else.

Yes, I punish myself, mostly with Military pushups, but, i do other things, used to cut to, but i stopped, for a girl, wouldn't ya have guessed?

i only punish myself when im super angry...i start punchng the f%ck out of something. it really helps me out.

punishing urself? thats a bad idea... it will lead to inflicting harm on urself... dont do it.

i could never do that,i could onli do it when i lose a battle, and i onli hit myself hard on the leg lol

i just like going crazy when im mad, but i hate it when i have to hold it in, it hurts badly when I do, only emotionally.
