What is the most effective weapon combination?

I think that the SMG and the Magnum (pistol) is very effective. Twin needlers are effective on brutes.
What do you think is the most effective weapon combination?

the needlers. I mostly like using the energy swords

i'm a dubble smg fan, although i do mix plasma rifles w/ needlers and stuff.

it'd be nice if u could dual weild an energy sword, that would be awsome

Many many combos my friends, heres the rundown:
Close range-
1)Magnum + SMG (get some headshots with a mag, and clean up with the SMG
2) Plasma rifle and the SMG (use a powered up Plasma blast, and finish with a spray from the SMG)
Medium Range-
1)use any combo of Plasma rifle, magnum, and the SMG.
2)Plasma pistol and the SMG
Long Range-
1) Duel magnums with crazy good aim make good long range weapons.

plasma pistol with the SMG is great at taking out elites, especially on legendary. Keep the pistol charged, fire and it takes out there shield then open up on them with the SMG and they go down just like a grunt. I used this combo and have got most of the way through the game on legendary with it.

MAster Hax is right SMG and MAGNUM, u cant lose, as i placed in my thread in the hints section, u guys should check it out

Dual-wield a plasma pistol and a magnum or a SMG to kill an elite quickly, same for jackals, any weapon on grunts, carbine, SMG or a battle rifle on drones carbine, snipers or a battle rifle in the hunters orange back spot. needlers or a headshot from a carbine to kill brutes.

The carbine and the brute shot are two good guns to carry around. carbine, brute shot, melee or s on the grunts, melee, or a well aimed carbine shot for the jackals, carbine in the back or a brute shot for the hunters, plasma grenades , brute shot or carbine on the elites, carbine, brute shot or a melee for the drones and carbine or brute shot for the brutes.
Saved me a couple oftimes on legendary!!

brute shot is **** on legendary it takes to many shots to kill anything.

Id hav 2 go with the magnum and SMG brilliant on xbox live but u cnt beat the gd old sword or shotgun.

On Legendary, dual wielding a plasma pistol and and SMG really works. On Multiplayer, if yer playing with pros, I think its good to use a plasma pistol with any other human weapon.

(has anyone tried dual wielding two magnums on Multiplayer? it rocks)

Even on multiplayer or campaign a Plasma Pistol and Magnum has got to be the best. Just take their shield with the PP and shoot them in the head for a one shot kill, it's kinda hard to do at long range but you can do it. What is much better is PP in one slot and the BR! Go NUB combo!

I use any guns i can find i don't really have a favourite combo

i like just using the plain old double needlers for brutes pp and magnum for elites grunts and jackels smg and magnum for elites and either a beam rifle or sniper rifle in that orange spot on a hunters back...or if ur far away u can always shoot it in the neck
