how do you defete the egg dealer at the end of lava shelter?

Really easy, right. Run around behind him for a long time, but don't try and hit him. If the first one's not bombs or missiles then hit the next button as soon as it turns. As soon as the second bomb or missile symbol has gone jump and use the homing attack on the third button. Then run away incase you're hit with aftershock. Repeat untill he's dead. That never fails for me.

Jump and use homing attack on all three buttons to stop the reels from spinning. They will stop on either missile, bomb, chaos blast, or rings.
TIP: If it stops on bomb, get a good distance from the Egg Dealer, the radius of the blast is quite big and could get you if you're close enough. Be sure to have plenty of rings as well. The more you have, the better chance you'll have at surviving.

It can also stop on Eggman's spear holding robots. They're not too much trouble though. I just thought I'd mention them anyway.

Just keep using homing attack be care ful though sometimes it fails such as flying of the edge towards a flying enemy
