It might be the original 2D map like on the GBA, but attacks during battle should be in 3D. Pok'emon Diamond and Pearl should take advantage of the DS's capabilities, but still preserve the feel of the original games.

If it goes 3D I hope the battles won't take as long as they do on the Gamecube versions (which are pretty bad games anyway so I can't complain, lol). I'll go with the 2D, Storyline feature. I don't like the diea of missions, it'll take away the games' originality.

I hope you can go to all regions in Gold/Silver etc. you can go to Kanto also I hope they bring back the day/night feature!

Controller-wise, it's the touch screen. But what will it be for? Keeping check on your party on the go? Mini-games? What else?

When in battle, I think the top will display the pokemon and status while the bottom has moves, choices, and a profile of who you're battling.

I found the reason it can't come out like say September.
Its because of Pokemon Ranger DRR DBR. September 18 is when they hit so we have time to Poke up because the region in Pokemon Ranger is in Diamond the 2nd region Fiorre thats some info.
