How is the easiest way to catch lugia in Crystal w/out using my master ball?
Also, how do you get to him/her/it?

you find lugia in the island near olivine city. it has whirlpools all around it and you have to use the move wirlpool to get past it.
Its easier to catch if you make it paralized and sleep and make sure you have TONS of ultra balls. this is how I caught him.

If you poison or freeze it, it's easier to catch

You could always duplicate a Pokemon that's holding a Master Ball so that you have two and can spare one. Otherwise, try to get its health down as much as possible, try to put it to sleep or perhaps even try to freeze it (Poisoning it runs the risk of the poison KOing it before you're successful at catching it). Have lots of Ultra Balls AND Heavy Balls.

I just say duplicate a pokemon holding a master ball. I don't got time to spend an hour catching the flippin' thing.
