Think there will be any new items added? I think the one thing that Mario grabbed in the trainer is a new item, and I think it allows a type of special attack. Discuss what type of items or weapon-items should be added.
Items, you say? How about a Metroid in a containment capsule thing? Y'know, like the one Ridley's got in the SSBM intro. Throw it to release the Metroid, which then attacks a random opponent.

You do know that scene was taken from Super Metroid, don't you?
Anyway, items...how about a whistle that summons Pikmin to help you out for a while. Attacking apponents and maybe getting other nearby items for you.
I suggest the Hammer Bros Suit from SMB3. I challenge you to name something cooler than lobbing hammers into someone's face while wearing a wicked black shell.
Since some third-party characters will be in it, I suggest the Blood Sword, first seen in Final Fantasy 2. It would be a Beam Sword-type weapon of no remarkable power, but it restores the user's health with each hit.
The feather was from Super Mario World, but it's a good idea.
Had a few ideas for the new Pokmon:
Beautifly: Poison powder (does constant damage to anyone who cmes in contact for a while) Groudon: Earthquake (probably annihilate the arena like) Kyogre: Blizzard (too close and you get frozen) Jirachi: similar to Mew and Celebi in the last one Rayquaza: Hyper Beam (think Mario's super, but more powerful) Regirock: Rock slide (sililare to Onix in the first one)
Poe Lantern, as seen in the LoZ series. When thrown, it releases a Poe spirit, which possesses the nearest enemy and reverses their controls. Left becomes right, up becomes down and they become unable to use shields. It wears off after a short while, which increases if the victim has a high percentage.
