who is the best starter arguement

Out of the R/S/E starters, I'd say Sceptile, but my personal favorite is Blaziken.

mudkip is best. except for its double-weakness to grass types when it evolves, there is no grass gym leader or elite 4 member. its ground type as marshtomp/swampert protects it from electric types used by wattson. plus, swampert looks cool! yay!

mine is torchick it not storng at first but it eveolves into my fav pokemon BLAZIKEN ow he is got 1 move i like SKY UPPERCUT

Ok, to stop people from argueing, here is the ranking table I found a long time ago. It makes sense, and I almost fully agree with it:

1. Swampert
2. Charizard
= Sceptile
= Blaziken
5. venusaur
6. Typhlosion
7. Feraligatr
8. Blastoise
= Meganium

For those who don't know = means that they have a shared position. I personally think Charizard is slightly better than Blaziken and Sceptile for a few reasons, but other than that I have no disagreements. Yes, before you guys ask, Nintendo didn't do so well with the Johto starters. You can all state your favourites though. Of course, there are always a few disagreements, such as Sceptile beats Swampert in a match between the two every time, it doesn't matter about who beats who, if it did we'd have everyone tied for first or second position. It's about who's most useful and who can counter the widest variety of pok�mon in the best possible way.

What ever is between each number with an equal sign means shared position. It means anything above it before going into a new number is equal with it.

For example, Meganium has an equal sign, and the next number above it is...8, which means it's equal with Blastoise.

Same with 2. Blaziken, Sceptile, and Charizard are all equal because they all have the same shared position.

IMHO, I think Charizard is the best because of the variety of the moves he can learn. Get a earthquake/fireblasting/belly drummer. Very effective.

My personal favourite is Charizard too, and I prefer him over Blaziken and Sceptile.

Blaziken is NOT the best. Just because you like him the best it doesn't mean he is the best.

Yes, I prefer Charizard overll. But Swampert is better, and I admit to it, ulike some *looks at Devil King*.
