so when are you getting one of these games

I'm getting red fire version sept 7 which is two days from now. when are you getting these, or when do they come out for you?

I still can't decide if I want Fire red or Ruby for my birthday(Sept. 9)
I played blue so i think fire red will get boring. Also can someone tell me what deoxys are.

Fire red and leaf green don't come out until Sep 9 in US and 23 in AUS

They don't come out in the UK until October

I heard Shigeru Miyamoto(the owner of Nintendo) moved to Washington is the USA, why did Japan get the games first?

Maybe he just gave them to japan first because he was going to America

Naw, now that I think of it, he was born in Japan so he probaby wanted to honor his old home and decided to give them the games first. Or wait? Does he do that with all Nintendo games. I heard America always gets the games second and Japan gets the latest games first always. I should've known.....

Japan always get the latest games first because they are made in theat country, because pokemon is in fact Japanese so thats why they come out there first and the America because it is probably the best place to market the game. Thats is also why Pokemon Emerald is coming out in Japan on the 16th of September 2004, heres a previous post and info on the game:
The Game is in fact actually real and the release date in japan is the 16th of September 2004 (The first Country released in then US, then Australia and then the Uk. (thats about 9 months from now)

I'v already got it and beaten the elite 4, I got it sept.20-something

i have it know(got it 2 days ago) it is great!

I got firered a while ago, its great! I've beaten the league, been to all the sevii Islands, and caught mewtwo.

My four greatest achievments:

Catching Moltres with a great ball
Catching Mewtwo with an ultra ball
Catching Articuno with an ultra ball
Catching Zapdos with an ultra ball


Whatya think? The moltres one was pretty cool, I reset my game and decided against throwing my expensive ultra balls first, I had 32 great balls, and needed to get rid of them, simply because I'd had them a long long time and had never used them, I'd only ever needed a pokeball since I like to collect small unevolved pokemon and evolve them since theres usually at least one evoloution per pokemon.
So I threw one ultra ball, that missed, and I decided to use great balls instead, and after a couple of throws, perhaps using 5-6 great balls, I caught it! I was happy since Moltres was the last one I caught but the first one I tried, you see, Moltres is rumoured to be the hardest of the three birds to catch, so I'd given up after my ultra balls ran out and worked on articuno and zapdos, both of which were caught within ten throws of an ultra ball.

The most annoying thing was that Moltres used all my ultra balls, yet Zapdos and Articuno were caught within minutes, and then after wasting half my day trying to use ultra balls, I reset and caught it with a great ball! Talk about unlucky.

Mewtwo was quite annoying too, since it is level 70 and easily nuked my pokemon even though my Charizard was at least 7 levels stronger. Then I reset again, prayed, threw about 10 ultra balls, and caught it! Wait a go strong team! I'm working on building Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mewtwo and Charizard to very decent levels for another try at the league, since I've heard legendary dogs start to appear when you beat the league the second time.....
heres how the three dogs work, all of course, contrasting to the version.
Fire red: Suicune
Leaf Green: Entei.
Sapphire (I'm not so sure, I know the first two, but I'm not sure how the sapphire deal works) Anyway it's supposed to be The Lightning dog, whose name I can't remember.

Just so you know, as far as legendary dogs are concerned, this is how it works. After beating the Elite Four,the 1st time I think, the legendary dog will appear somewhere near Pallet Town, or the routes close to the beginning of the game where you'd come off Victory Road, but there will only be one BASED ON YOUR STARTER-NOT YOUR VERSION!
You have Charizard, so you'll get a shot to catch Suicune.
Bulbasaur as starter-Entei
Squirtle as starter-Raikou(a.k.a. The Lightning Dog)

This is how I understand it to work:LeafGreen and FireRed are the updates of Blue and Red(Blue had been Green in Japan originally, so the story goes...)and then there is SUPPOSED to be a Thunder Yellow or something to be the update for the old Yellow, special Pikachu version as some call it, where it was the same town, but you could do things you couldn't before(I heard you can catch all the starters since Pikachu was your starter in Yellow? I'm not sure)When, I have no idea, but after Emerald, which is, as I understand it, the third in the Ruby and Sapphire series, but will be more different gameplay and things that you couldn't do in R/S, but the same town, more or less. That's what my research has gotten me so far-please anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong, I am assuming to a degree(and we know what happens when you assume!), but it seems logical enough, right?
Catch a legendary bird witjhout missing...that's tough, but besides the master ball I don't have a clue. I don't think you can any other way unless you are lucky as anyone who wins the lottery! Cheat and duplicate Master Balls(like I did in blue-loved that!). I'd put em to sleep, paralyze them, give them every other status condition(w/o killing! Can you freeze them without killing them? That would be an awesome way-hard to do much frozen...)and get them as close to 1 HP, befpore I even tossed a ball at all! I have heard Greatballs sometimes work better for them than the Ultras-why I dunno, but I'd try both. As long as you save before, you can try anything and them erase it like it never happened(just turn off the GBA or soft reset-Select+Start+A+B all at the same time!)so get creative...later gator!
