My friend told me he started watching it on youtube and that it was a cool show so I tried it and I think its one of the best anime ever.I'm reading its manga too.

Shonen Jump sent me the first episode on DVD and I think it's funny, but not the best anime.

This and Fullmetal Alchemist are my favorite animes. I love the anime and the manga of it.

You should know about him getting the soul reaper powers then. He basically takes the job of defeating Hollows until Rukia gets her powers back. He continuosly is getting stronger as he learns to control his spirit power and the sword. I can't say much more without ruining surprises in the story line.

It is funny though, like in the first episode when she shows him picture card and asks: "Any questions so far?" And He says "Yeah, Why do your drawings suck?" XD!!!!!!!!

I think it's well worth buying the manga series. But you should browse through the first couple issues at a bookstore to see if they seem interesting to you.
