I've fired an air rifle before, don't know what calibre it was. I used to sit on a chair at my Uncles house which is in Spain in the middle of nowhere and just fire at the telephone lines about 30 yards away. Whenever I hit one it would go 'ting', I got pretty good at it.
I think there's a few pinocchio's on this thread as some of the guns mentioned are almost impossible to get your hands on unless you are very well connected in the underworld, have a Military background or belong to a gun club. The Bazooka post I seriously doubt is true.d

You have to be seriously in a gun club to get a Thompson, or in the Military, the Bazooka is unreal, especially when they don't exist anymore.

It's simply because people love the feeling of safety and security when they get better and better at it, also because it gives a slight adrenaline rush, who doesn't like that?
