The "Beginning" of the Unniverse...if there was one.

Adam and Eve were way later.

the first day:
God created light(day) and dark(night).
the second day:
God created the heavens and made water under them.
the third day:
God created land which He called earth and gathered the waters and called them seas. Then He made vegetation on the earth.
the forth day:
God created the sun, moon, and the stars.
the fifth day:
God created the fish of the sea and the birds of the air.
the sixth day:
God created the animals of the earth. Then He created man in His image, and said, "...let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
the seventh day:
God rested for all that He did was good in His eyes.

that is all I believe about the beginning... it is all summed up.... =D

Everyone is their own kindest critic. Of course He'd say it was good; He spent a week making it, and would be unlikely to stop and say "Nah, actually, that's rubbish. I'll have to start again."

Actually, I think God screwed us all over for sinning and not turning out perfect like he wanted. So he gave us earthquakes, tornados, tidal waves and Michael Jackson.

Because Satan tempted Adam and Eve to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. When they did, they opened up sin unto the earth, and sin is pain. Pain is many different types of things. earthquakes, diseases, etc.

Actually, that sort of stuff never happened. Most of the stuff rom the Bible, including the Genesis section, is all simbolism. The snake was not Satan, it was the visual representation of the evil inside all humans. In this case, temptation. The friut simbolised the power of God and the garden of Edan was paradise. What the story meant was that we could be living in paradise, but the temptation in our hearts and the will to be as powerful as MR. God himself led us to the toil and pain mentioned in the story.

Quite agreeable when you think about it.
