light in main castle

i thought when u get 16 stars u look in the light and it takes u somewhere to activate the ? blocks but i have 25 stars and when i go into the light all it does is say "hey mario up here" Wat do i do?????

Try to go further in the game, then go back to the light.

hmmm.... do you have mario unlocked? if you do, try to look @ it as him.

ya i figured it out i just didnt know which button to hold down thanks

easy just press the "X" button on ur ds and look up and tadaaaaaaaa mario is flying now go to the cement kindda roof and u will see a red '?' button jump to it and all of the red '?' boxes will appear sollid hey and here's a tip:try to colect all the red coins ther and you'll receive a power star and try to follow the path of coins just to make it easier 4 u hope i helped **yoshi_peachmic**

i try doin that when i press x it just zooms in on him nd nutin happens!nd if i press a or b it jus goes a voice from above says hey mario and i have 54 stars but cant go ne further mwitout those stupid boxes ahhhhhh help

I go to the light in the main hallway and press "x" and get no where. What I am doing wrong?

press x in sun rug, look up and you'll be in the secret tower, there is four towers in the corners, red coins, and a ? switch.
