i don't have one but i'm thinking of getting one. it is a thing like a gameshark just for cheats.

It's sort-of like a Gameshark. It has codes which you can manually input or put in your computer then the AR cartridge.

my bro has an AR for gba but it ruined my leaf gre so i dont trust them

The action replay (otherwise known as AR) is a cartridge that you can put into your DS. You can also connect it to the computer to put more codes on it. The codes alter your game. If you used codes for pokemon, you can make your own custom pokemon, get whatever pokemon you want, or numerous other things.
