Don't save images as a JPEG unless you have some way to make it lossless. As for the signature itself, it's nothing really that special besides some brushing. It is better than most signatures around, but it isn't very good. 6/10.

I think he meant lightning.
Using lightning as a base for the background and not a texture is a big no-no. It makes the sig look like some generic front of a coffee mug from the late 80's.

But you could do a lot better; each and every GFX'er began at the point you are. My special Wolfy advice is to do like me: find the subject you like, (for me, it was DBZ, now it's FLCL), and use what you know about it to give it a flow, sort of your own touch.*
