Ok folks: about the duel between Voldemort, McGonigall, Kingsley and Slughorn: I think he was either trying to stun them or disarm them. Most likely stunning which I think anyone can do with any wand. Remember: Harry said that the only spells that Voldemort had really been using on people were binding spells which are small ones.

You know how the Elder Wand didn't work for Voldy-mort? Well, since Draco picked it up after Snape killed him in the last book without forcibly taking it from Dumbledore, he techinally became the new Master of the wand without realizing it. He dropped it and they buried it with Dumbeldore's body. So that's why it didn't work for Vouldy.

See that has me thinking again, couldn't he attack them properly because of Harry's protection or because the Elder Wand wasn't working for him.
I don't really think he would have tried to have stunned those 3, I mean why would he bother to stun them when he could kill them outright.

Sorry everyone, but did you just figure that out?!? He said that specifically to Voldemort in the book. Ok, here goes!

7. Now Harry wishes to die without someone taking the wand so then it's powers would be relinquished. (after #1-7)

In any case Snape wouldn't have been made master of the Elder Wand since it was a planned killing and so therefore it wouldn't have been a defeat, but that backfired with Draco.

yeah, basically since harry accepted death and since he is in fact a Horcrux of Voldemort as well only the Horcrux part of him was destroyed freeing him from his connection to Voldemort and also making the protection for him and his friends.
