Because Alonso requested to leave in May apparently, he has never gotten on with Raffa, apparently he wanted Raffa not to play him because he had family issues to attend to, but Raffa said he had to play, and they haven't seen eye to eye since, no point keeping hold of a player who obviously doesn't want to be at a club

I suppose not but it's a big blow for Liverpool as he's a great player who won't be replaced easily.

Alberto Aquilani must be a decent player if he plays for the Italian national team but it'll take him a while to get the same rapport with Gerard that Alonso had.

Looks like Liverpool will be keeping Mascherano. They should still be one of the top sides, but I am kind of shifting towards Chelsea as the team I think will win it this year.

They need to keep Mascherano if Alonso has gone otherwise their midfield will have too many new faces in it to function properly.

I've watched it, but it somewhat seemed to me that both sides were fair, and no doubt Arsenal has the most chances.

Because they can't earn big bonus money through scoring goals and appearances and they won't get selected for their national team making their value in the player market depreciate.
