Where are some good places to train for the Elite 4 the first time around?
Also, if you trade your Pikachu for a Charizard and trade back immediately, do they still gain levels faster due to trading or are they going to be the same as before?

For the first question, Victory Road and the VS Seeker are the best methods of training.
For the second question, they will remain the same.

I meant with the VS seeker, is there any specific place that's good for training. I know Victory Road is one but anything else?

1 Island is good. Up by the ember spa. You can get 3 single battles and a double battle if you time it right. And if your pokemon faint or get injured you can go into the ember spa to heal them.
