oblivion help....main quest

there is a time Martin tells you to go to the shrine of Azura I think it is..........it is NOT the the first time you go were you need will-o-the-wisp to activate it at dawn or dusk....But there is a second time were you have to go and once I get there their is a green arrow that tells me to go to a rock with candles on it....or at least I think so.........I dont think it means go to the statue because when I click on it it just says a bunch of bull that I need to follow the star and crap like that........but do I need Azuras star that she gave me because I sold it?????????

You need a daedric artifact for Martin to activate the gate, the Azura's star is the artifact. I would try to get it back to whom ever you sold it to. I'm not sure if you can use a different daedric artifact. But i reckon as soon as u get the Azura's star back and give it to martin then the quest will be complete.

ill try.......I now were it is and I went back to the same place but they didnt have it.......maby it was the wrong girl I talked to

Any daedric artifact will work.Azuras star is one you might want to hold onto,if you can get it back.

From any of the deadric shrine quests. Anything you get from one of those will work.

Azura's Star really isnt worth using for the daedric artifact part of the main quest. You lose a very good item. I mean cmon a reusable grand soul gem? Simply an awesome item that you wouldnt want to give up. Personally I used the saviors hide that you get from Hircines daedric quest. I simply used it because I am skilled in heavy armor not light armor.

yea savior's hide is really unecessary
or if you dont use blunt, give him the macething you get from malacath's shrine
