Matt said:Warrior isn't narrow-minded though. He accepts the fact that others have their own religions, even bizarre ones that no-one's ever heard of.

Huh? I never said Warrior.
It was just a general statement - I wouldn't want to be friends with someone narrow-minded, as I wouldn't expect someone to want to be my friend if I was narrow-minded. :p

With anything. Being narrow-minded is one of the worst qualities another person can have, in my opinion. Live your own life and let people live their own. Everyone is different, everyone has their own opinions. If one can't accept that, I cannot get along with them.

That's no more bizzare than yours.
If I chose to warship the Pikachu God, then it would be my right to do so. And it would be no more unusual than Christianity, Islam, etc.

Except that it was created by a guy in the 90s and has nothing to do with faith.

So now older = more valid? Using that logic the old pagan religions and the Greek/Roman religions are more valid than Christianity/Islam etc?

How does that have nothing to do with faith? Genuinely believing in a Pikachu god is the same as genuinely believing in the Christian god.

You don't understand religion very well. And I'm getting really ******* tired of arguing about religion on this site.

Why is it any different though? You have the same amount of proof of the Christian God as you do of the Spaghetti Monster god. If it all comes down to believing in something without proof, then how is Spaghetti Monster not a religion?

Actually, I do. Unfortunately, you seem to think that worshipping a Pikachu god is ridiculous, but worshipping the Christian god is not? I fail to see why it is; maybe I think there's a Cheese god? If I genuinely believe in one, it's about as ridiculous as believing in the Christian god, wouldn't you say? No, you won't, I guess, because you will always think your God is the best and won't see it through anybody else's shoes.

Look, no one is forcing you to post here. You come here with lame arguments and try to convince people that there is a God because "it's all bs" and "religion is about faith". Don't accuse me of not understanding religion well because you're a little upset and can't form any coherent argument to prove your claim. I studied the Old Testament for 7 years and had a Bar Mitzvah. I understand religion very well.

I'm not trying to be mean, but I'm getting sick of your little one-liners that you think solve everything. I respect that you have faith and I'm not saying you can't, but at least back up your claim. It's like you're putting together a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing.

1 My posts will be short since I have to use a touch screen. 2 Have you prayed to Pikachu? Has he answered your prayers?

Whether or not he has is irrelevant, it's the concept behind it.

So worshiping say a doorknob is just as right as Christianity?
