Hi,
Last night we activated our new questions and answer system, basically we now list just the questions on the main index page for questions and answers on a game. With options to search for particular questions or filter by unanswered, see the 'hot' questions (most viewed) etc... Then to see the answers for a question you have to select the question and a page loads with the question and all it's answers, there is alson on that page a space to add your own answer. For the asker there are options to close to new answers, select best answer and make comments. For the answerer there are options such as go to next unanswered, next unanswered by me etc... So scrolling through the new questions or finding ones you have not answered should be more easy. There are a few bugs which I have informed our programmer about this morning such as the comments system not working, and search on the page not working, but these will likely be fixed later today. You have seen the option to see your question then ... There are quite a few new features, I don't think I have them all listed... Still a bit buggy but it's not going to be perfect on the opening day as this is when we really get to do the proper testing in a live environment. But, glad you like it! Cheers ... As I say, it's still being worked on ... The urgent bugs are already fixed I think ... But I send a list of about 10-15 things this morning which needed fixing or improving so they are being worked on now.

Wow i was looking through it before this was posted and i was
surprised on how it came out. I agree with both Dark Chaos™ & Gamerad :D I like how the Avy's are there and you can find your questions :D |

Cheers, nice to hear such positive feedback ... And no complaints... Yet!

Destined ... Battle software is installed... But we have not integrated it into our member system or given it the correct template. I don't think it will be done this week or before the new year to be honest, due to other delays.

Rich, awesome.
I think it's great, the way you can answer a question, without clicking 700 links, and such. Far more simple, and alot, lot quicker. It is certainly now better than it was before. Just incase you didn't know, there seems to be some glitch, where clicking on a members Avy/Name, it seems to take everyone to the same profile. Well, the three I clicked on anyway. Back for the games.

Thanks ... I didn't see that bug ... It's been reported.
It's a lot quicker for the people asking a question too, as it gets to go on the site instantly (albeit on a pending page) which can be answered straight away too and displayed on that page as well... So it's an instant system now. Although we will still moderate the content and remove stuff as usual. There is also a report abuse link so two people can click twice on the same sub and it will be temp removed pending moderation. Game Guides Galore - http://www.supercheats.com/guides/

It's much more organised and user friendly, good job, I might actually continue subbing on my old account now.
EDIT: Would it be possible to apply a language filter to the answer system to automatically block any answers with offensive material in them? Just so you don't have to moderate each answer. « Last edited by Ermac on Dec 18th 2007 »  |
