hopefully someone can help me with this problem i have with my disk drive. it wont reconize any game, cd, or movie i put in. for example, i put my sims computer game in and once i click the icon on my desktop to play i get a pop-up that says "please insert the correct cd-rom, select ok, and restart application." obviously i have tried to do what the pop-up says and no success.

First of all: is your Sims game one of those that has 2 discs?
Second: "restart application" sometimes means restarting the computer itself.

yes the sims is two disks and i have tried restarting my computer

You probably have a faulty CD/DVD-ROM Drive. Which means you would have to buy a new one. (They're only $15-$25)

You can get one at Circuit City or Best Buy. But if you want to buy one from the internet, here you go (I even filtered it for you)
Installing a CD Drive can be a bit tough depending on whether or not your computer has drive mounting brackets or not. (Hopefully, you have a friend or relative who knows how to do this because I'm too lazy to post it right now)
