who was your starting pokemon and why?

mine is piplup why because he is good on the first gym

min is turtwig cos he is like chosin ez moad and im not good at games

Mine was Chimchar because when he evolves into Monferno he can beat the first gym leader easily and all the other leaders.

I chose Turtwig, he blitzed through the Gym Leaders easily, and my Torterra can quite easily take two Ice Fangs from a lv65+ Floatzel.

I chose Piplup, it was a beast in gyms, a beast. An' when its fully evolved its next to unstoppable. But now after I beat tha game my Empoleon is just my HM slave. Wa ha ha!

Mine was Chimchar cos i've always started with fire types

i chose Chimchar coz its a monkey and i like monkeys and also because i manage to get up to where you had to use surf to get to the steal gym with ONLY on pokemon and that is chimchar, so i got past 5 gyms i think it is before u need surf with only chimchar

Well out of the 3 starters it would be Chimchar, because fires are the best, but i have my own method of starting pokemon in which you trade any egg from another game to your game and hatch the egg and voila. Using this completly legit and different way of starting a game, I would say Elekid, because it can take out most types.

I chose Chimchar on Pearl, because it was the first time I liked the Fire Starter over the Wtr Type which is what I usually pick all the time.

I chose Turtwig on Diamond because my first starter ever when I started playing Pokemon was Treeko. I didn't know too much about the game when I got it as a gift, lol. I would of picked Mudkip for Sappphire had I known. I did however pick Treeko when I bought Emerald. I also picked Turtwig because like Pooly says when he got to his last stage of development he was a tank and I took out the gyms faster on Diamond than on Pearl with him on my team.

I choose the Chimchar, because I thought his final evolution looked the coolest of the 3. And also, fire is my fav. type.

i chose piplup. it's cute, it gets through the gym easy, and i can beat the elite 4 with him alone. of course, no one is stupid nough to go with just 1 pokemon hehe. but my empoleon i have now is AWESOME!

i picked piplup because i think empoleon looks the coolest of all final stages and i like water types

I choose chimchar for 2 reasons.
1.) My friends didn't and I wanted to be different.
2.) His stats were all above 10 at level 5.

i chose piplup because on fire red i choes a fire type on sapphire i chose a grass type so this time i chose a water type

Yeah good point. I'm looking for a turtwig and chimchar but i don't want to restart my game. If i had to thoughm, i would choose Turtwig because he's hard to beat cuz of his type, and chimchar cuz of his stats.

Mine was chimchar for I like fire. And, I got Piplup because my friend and I did this trading thing to get two starters.I would pick water over grass even though grass could own a water/ground poke.
