I think that it is a pretty decent game and it's really fun, but if prefer Gran Turismo 4. Also, to merlin6972, I have the answer to your Escudo Question. First, you have to equip the highest turbo to make the power up to 1800hp. Next, set the spring rate to the minimum for the front and the rear. Set the auto setting for the gear ratios to the highest possible. Now, set the final gear to three. Also set the down force in the front to the minimum and the down force in the rear to the maximum. Finally, set the ASM and TCS to 0. Go to the max speed test now and go backwards one lap to the starting line. Do this in reverse. Now you have an extra lap to race and you won't be stopped in the middle. Now, all you have to do is go. Turning will be impossible but when you reach the 2nd straight, you should keep a speed of 200mph. Only at the end of the 2nd straight will you hit 500mph. My record is 567. Good luck and hope you reach 500mph!
