FF&RP Discussion Thread: Generation IV

Ok, so this is my second post in the fan fic/role play forum, and I have...an idea! What about a 'medieval' role play? With knights and squires and wizards and whatnot. Or has that already been done? I remind you, my second post...
Of course, I wouldn't be the one to lead it, but it could be good...

We're looking for an orriginal roleplay. That's probably the most generic Role Play idea anyone could think up, no offence.

I say someone just sets up a roleplay tournament. I don't care who does it, I don't care what it's themed around, but I really miss doing those.

So why don't you do it?

I've had a brilliant idea for a new fic. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to post it here.

Aw, I might, but if I do, I won't do it until after Wendsday. Damn Summer School...

Curry: Try making it into a roleplay.

kasual: Actually, that's what we're trying to get away from. Almost everyone who's ever made a roleplay here has used the medieval element. =P

I can't make it into a roleplay. The content is completely NSFSC.

When I become Admin, using any font smaller than size six will be punishable by a ban, the length of which will be determined by: 6-x weeks, where x is the size of the font used.

Curry, I don't think we need anymore rules around here. Unless you're only going to apply them to the Fan Fiction and Roleplay front.

I'm going to apply it to everything. Small font will only be acceptable if it's being used to hide plot-ruining spoilers, and even then, must be clearly signposted as such.

X: There's one rule I'd like to add, but it'd never go through. Probably due to the fact that it involves several members who would undoubtedly go crying to the Admins if it did.

It contains such graphic violence as to make the Lich War from Lygace 4 seem family-friendly by comparison*, deals with such delightful subject matter as mental illness, domestic abuse and slavery, would probably contain scenes of an adult nature** and is generally the sort of thing I'd get instantly and permanently banned for posting here.

* The scene where Rajha and Jade lead the zombified Vatai Zahdu into battle reportedly made a number of readers feel physically sick. I'm quite proud of that, but it's about the most I can get away with.
** If you know what I mean.

Personally, I think when you police everybody, they tend to don't join the more serious rp's. I was lax on the rules when I was mod here. I try to encourage improvment.

My rule would include most of the things mentioned in the post above yours and would affect nearly all of the FF&RP forum. Those who will be pardoned - you for example - should know who they are.

That's actually a good observation. While in some cases you might not want those people in your rps, unwelcoming comments regarding the sexual accessibility of their female parent might act as a repel for certain types of people.

ha. I agree, but because it was aimed at you, I didn't feel anything.


Anyway, I'm planning to create a Rp about Mysterious invasion in USA and you are a part of the surivors. The plot involves shocking twists and of course kick@$$ enemies.

Ugh. Never include "shocking twists" in the sales patter for your own work. It makes you sound pretentious and arrogant, and I'm probably the only one pretentious and arrogant enough to get away with it.

If anyone was to make another Resident Evil rp I would most likely know most of the characters now, and most of the s*** that's going on!

I rented RE: Umbrella Chronicles and it holds RE0, RE1, RE2, and RE3 (But I've only gotten up to the RE of Jill and Carlos in Raccoon City, but I don't know which game that is!)
