So, they don't care if we come back. The people strap bombs to themselves and die to kill innocent civilians. I don't think they're afraid to die, much less us comin' back cause the worst we can do to them is kill them, which they obviously aren't afraid of. But I agree the onger we're there the worse so we need to both get out as soon as possible and make the most of the time we have left in there. But McCain just says we're winnin', yeah killin' them but we're givin' them money to fight us even more cause we buy most of our oil from them. McCain says stuff then two days later he denies it or changes his opinions dramatically. And do we really need that?

Obama all the way!

Plus McCain's an old fart and Palin has hardly any experience at all. :p

Besides, if McCain croaks in office, then we have Palin as president. Really? Would you really trust Palin to be our president? I didn't think so.

Even more, our people are DYING over there. There's no point to fight this war, money is just being wasted, and people are dying.

Well, i wanted Ron Paul, but that aint happnin.

But if I had to choose, it'll Obama.I seriously dont get that people are voting for another Bush term(Mcain Term) Mccain healthcare plan, is just Terrible(Capitalized for emphasis). I really dislike Palin as VP, mcain is pretty old and i hear he has health problems, and if dies(God forbid) Palin would be President, and that cant be Good IMO.

But who cares what I think,im a 13 year old German.

Obama, Mcain`s idea of getting people health insurance is not considering them uninsured, but not able to pay for it. ya know how Sarah palin`s daughter is pregnant? yeah Mcain says it makes them a more "American" family. I find that insulting.

Today when I went to the Italian Festival in Columbus, a lady was handing out flyers (While I was wearing my Obama Biden T-Shirt) and gave one to my dad. It was a flyer about how the bishops didn't want Obama to be president because of his position on abortion. He immediately gave this back to the lady, and as we're walking away, she's yelling at us "Look to your left!" We looked, and they had set up a large signboard with a mutilated baby face on it.

Now, it may just be me, but printing a destroyed baby face on a large signboard is a bit of a cheap shot. Not to mention it didn't make me think Obama was sick. It made me think those people were sick for putting that huge f**king poster up.

Oh, and he really didn't go off topic, since he said that he hopes that Palin ends up as president. He was being rude, but on topic.

By off-topic, I meant he wasn't contributing to the debate. He was basically just having a go at Americans. That's not what this board was for.

But he did contribute. He wasn't being nice, but he said what he hoped happened in the presidential debate, which is for McCain to win and die so Palin screws up America. It was related to the topic, and you really had no reason to delete it.

But enough of this curdy off topic, argusing with mods junk, I agree with most of Obama's points, other than Abortion. My belief is, other than if the victim is raped, abortion should not be allowed. If they didn't want a kid, they should have had protected sex, or stayed abstinent. Even if they get it while using protected sex, there's not a 100% chance that it'll work, so that's their risk.

Other than that, Obama seems to be much more collected and calm than McCain and makes better points.

Ha! Abortion is wrong? What if they can't support the child? Granted, there's adoption, but the kid doesn't really even have conciousness until it is born.

The give your kid up for adoption! Damn, don't kill a gift from god just because you can't support it! Put it up for adoption! Why is it okay to kill a living being because of a lack of money?

Kids die because of lack of money everyday for years, just take a look at parts of Africa yet I've yet to hear a single mention from both parties about aid and what not (could just be because I don't live in America though). I do find it interesting that abortion is such a hot topic in the elections in America but in England it will hardly get a mention in any election campagin.

I was going to mention a fair bit about abortion but I don't want to turn it into an abortion debate.

Adding to super craig's reply, there are some kids who languish in foster care for years and end up having little sense of identity since their biological parents want nothing to do with them for some reason or other. (For my full take I refer you to Freakonomics by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner.)

at first i was undecided because im an independent. i just recently decided which candidate i want to run America. i go with Obama all the way!Smile

i say Obama because: he's anti war, anti gun, basically anti violence which we need in America. he wants to get out of the war in Iraq; we need to get out NOW! we're not accomplishing anything by continuing this worthless war, its gone on for far too long! he's for abortion. he wants to increase the wages for women & minorities. he's against the beating of women. he wants to put teachers in schools that actually care about teaching students; education is vital. his universal healthcare plan is great for people like me (middle & lower class; im upper lower class). America will go back to being a socialist country. & electing a black (well mixed in Obama's case) president is just one small step towards diminishing racismSmile

where as McCain is mostly (not completely) a clone of Bush. we cannot take another 4 years of Bush or any republican crap. the war in Iraq will continue >.> America will just be one step closer to becoming a facist nation >.> he chose THE worst possible VP pick ever; Palin is nowhere near qualified nor educated to run this country! & plus McCain said he knew where Osama Bin Laden was in one of the debates, why doesnt he tell Bush where he is so he can go find him?!?!?! (eventho Bush knows where Bin Laden is aswell >.>) & tbh, voting republican does no good if your middle class or lower class

basically, i want Obama to win the election because he actually cares for the middle & lower class people & having a black president will move us one small step forward to diminishing racism. & I dont want to live in a country that will have 4 more years of republican crap & hypocrisy!

I don't remember hearing McCain saying he was pro-gun, pro-violence and all that lot. Basically as an outsider I don't see much difference between the 2 in terms of policies, just seems to be more about character than anything else. Then again that could be due wholly to the way the election is reported in the media over here.

Must admit though that chosing Palin has certainly got people talking about her and therefore him, I can't say I've even heard the name of Obamas' one mentioned at all.

So you'd rather kill someone and not even give them a chance? Everyone deserves a chance. It's up to them to take that chance.

Okay, maybe that was a little corny, but still. If you don't want the kid, you shouldn't have had unprotected sex. And even protected sex has its risks, so other than for rape, it would be the girl's responsibility.

well McCain isnt pro-voilence but he's definitely pro-gun (he never actually said it but its on his website). i truly think America could decrease violence with Obama being anti-gun.

lol that's because no one can really 'dig dirt' on Joe Biden (Obama's VP pick). people only talk about Palin because she's a dimwitted woman that barely knows anything about her own country & she has a 17 yr old daughter thats a slut.

Well, Obama isn't going to take guns out of the picture entirely. That'd be a violation of the Second Amendment. He'll try to at least get assault weapons off the street though, and that'll help.

well yeah, no one can go fully against the right to bear arms, but like you said, he'll at least get assult weapons off the street. ...maybe New Orleans can finally be safe! :D (or at least less dangerous)

Okay, maybe that was a little corny, but still. If you don't want the kid, you shouldn't have had unprotected sex. And even protected sex has its risks, so other than for rape, it would be the girl's responsibility.
So if a kid is to be born severly disabled and will more than likely have a crap quality of life and the parents don't want to subject their child to that, then we should just say 'well tough we don't care how much you don't want your child to feel pain, but we're telling you your having it anyway.

As for the girl's responsibilty, there are more ways than simply forcing yourself, psycological factors and the like, men playing with the woman, controlling them, but without actually raping them.

lol that's because no one can really 'dig dirt' on Joe Biden (Obama's VP pick). people only talk about Palin because she's a dimwitted woman that barely knows anything about her own country & she has a 17 yr old daughter thats a slut.

Can't dig dirt = boring. At least Palin allows us to have a laugh at her exspense, I mean with Bush going the rest of the world needs someone to laugh at.

I don't really understand the gun law in America, you want to cut down on gun crime yet the one thing you want more than that is to keep your guns, so unless Obama is willing to actually make some proper changes (I hear a lot about making changes, but no-one seems to be mentioning what exactly those changes are) and stands up to the whole 'we need guns' attitude nothing is going to change. Even getting rid of assault weapons will do sod all, because as we all know its only assault weapons that can kill people.
