Who do you begin the game with?

So which of the three starters do you choose to begin with? I always go with Cydaquil but mostly I borrow my friends link cable and trade Totodile and Chikorita to my game. So who do you always begin with?

i fist started wit totodile but then i tried wit bayleef and my game was SO much better

i mostly start off with totadile, i don't really like chickorita....

I like to start off with cyndaquil because typhlosion rocks!!!

i start off with totedile, water+ice+dark (surf, ice beam, bite) is good versus all the gym leaders+pokemon league...and feraligatr can learn all of those three moves...

Cyndaquil. Plain awesome. There was also a cheat in which you can get all three starters that you can use sometimes.

its not really a cheat, more of a mistake the people who made the game forgot to fix...or didnt know about
is a glitch really...cheats involve codes on gameshark...

It's basically the same concept as cloning.

realy ive never heard of it and Typholsion just rocks

use the glitch that alows you to get all 3 of them

how do u use the glitch?

I just trade between all versions to get both of them. i use my sisters GasmeBoy. I think Cyndayquil and Totdile are better starters than Chikorita. it's impossible to beat the first gym with Chikortia. But I have all three so I don't really mind.

Chikorita is only good for the second half of the game. That's why Bulbasaur did so well. And it learns Razor Leaf at level 8!

heres what you do

1. go to the lab,BUT RIGHT BEFOR YOU GET ANY POKEMON SAVE!
2.do evreything like go to mr pokemon,ect..... so you can get a few poke balls
3.catch a pokemon or 2.
4. have them hold whatever pokeballs you have left
5.deposit the starter you choose,and 1 more pokemon(both should be holding a poke ball)
6.change boxes but when its in the middle of "SAVING DONT TURN OFF THE POWER" turn it off
7.now you back at professor elms lab when you turn it on again
8.choose a diffrent pokemon
9.go to the cherrygrove pokemon center
10.take the pokemons pokeball you caught eailer that it is holding and give it to the other starter
11.follow step 6 except this time deposit the 1st starter you choose from and the 2nd starter
12.your at the lab yet again and this time choose the last starer(note: this is the starter where you opponet chooeses you weakness)
13.for good measure save


so their it is,you get 2 pokeballs befor you can buy them and the 3 startes.

that would really help your pokedex, from duplicating pokeballs you could have 15 or so pokemon before your meant to get the pokedex and pokeballs...

But the Pokemon you get from that technique aren't added to your Pokedex.

well if they dont then you can always breed them, and then it will surely...

I just trade all of them onto my game. It's a lot easier.
Spideraman99 I know what you mean about Chikorita. He isn't very useful in most places in Johto but does rather well in Kanto.
