First of all lets talk about how to type correctly...

Do you mean to create a key combination for certain things, like opening a web browser? That, I do not know. I will try to find out for you.

Yep, so basically, you just create a shortcut to the program.
Right-click it, select properties. And assign the shortcut keys you want.
But, if it's in a program, like CTRL+S to save, it depends on the program for ways to set shortcut keys.
Like, in a lot of them, you go to Tools>Options and you can change shortcut keys there, but that only works for some programs.
Go read a different signature.

Many programs have a list of shortcuts in their help file. Even Windows has a list.

Yeah, like in-program shortcuts like 'CTRL+S' to save and things like that.
But for shortcuts to open a program, you would make a shortcut on the desktop.
There are also keyboards and mice that have programmable buttons that you get to pick what they do. Very helpful.
