G rank black gravios

Any tips on smashing this over sized swine?

I'm trying to get the 9* quests, its only this black gravios and what ever the urgent quest is between me and the next set of quests

man i used to have that problem, i recommend a strong water attrib bow, and high grade earplug, or if you want to melee him, then a high water attrib weapon. Btw HGE is a must imo as i found everytime i was stopped by his roar he did that stupid sweeping beam attack straight after, best not to risk it

as for fighting him, i would advise to stay to his side, away from the beams range so you get more open opportunities to damage him, also watch for the other little monsters, they can be a real distraction, i cant give much adivse on actually fighting him as i am not too good at it myself lol sry

you fight the same as me then, stay to the side and use high grade earplugs, lol

my most powerfull bow is my heartshot bow 2 (thats 264 attack and 20% affinity) but the bullfango keeps messing up my movements and I can't shoot it because it takes loads of damage on g rank and the gravi blasts me from behind when I'm working on the fango.

I might go melee and see how that goes

yeh, try to clear all the areas of stupid annoyances before u go to kill black grav, trust me, makes it so much easier and less frustrating making u make less mistakes

lol good luck, ive never gone against him since i beat that quest, except on brainstem runs for the akantor armour piece, but that was much simpler, tail was easy to chop lol

I use the Plesioth Azure Blade(it's a water attribute GS) or the Siugmund(another GS, but just raw attack power)

Don't forget that you can use Pitfall and Shock Traps on him, he's also succeptable to flash bombs.

It's funny how rusty you can get in this game in a short time. I had to go through a warm up period when I pick it up again.

United is going to be great but I'm looking forward to 2G more.

I am going to get my psp online asap, then maby we can all join up and kill stuff together all nice and ready for the new game

You mean hacking your psp to go online? I heard that can cause thr psp to crash.

Now what do you think will work best, Great sword, Long sword, bow, bowgun, ect.

(I'm going for High grade earplugs in any event for safty)

I think I'll use the Imperial sword as it has 1008 attack and 30% affinity with rathalos soul U armour.....that should cause some hefty damage (its the combo I use to slay Ashen Lao single handed )

Bow, unless you had a lack of money (to upgrade your armor)
then go for a weapon w/ guard ability and armors w/ guard up that allow you to block his beam

Its so hard to post using cellphone.

If you've got an armor set to get the lvl 4 charge, dragonhead harp is a good bow to range him with. 156 raw but 240 water element on top with a lvl 4 pierce. All coatings, 3 slots, 30% affinity. Typically I use the 3 slots to boost my expert as much as possible. I use a spare game save once in a while to test out weapons for fun. This was one of the few times I enjoyed ranging that heffer =).

God says use a hammer. O_O
i used the king lobby hammer to pound the crap out of it, and it is a water hammer so there you go.
Tactics
God used the tactic of running out and hitting the tips of the wings as it shot beam fire. O_O
It seems like a slow bad way to kill it, but if you hit the tips you will, a. Not get hit by the explosive fart. b. Be safe from about everything. c.not do a lot of damage, but again safety is important.
I used full blango u(dont ask >_>) and king lobbeh hammah.
so yes take it from a person who suffered the same problem you do nao.
