Holy Crap!

So I was walking home from schooltoday and took a cut through the forest. There I found $18 just laying around. I looked to see if anyone was around, so that I might know to who it belonged to so I can give it back. But there was no one. So as I always say, "Found, no keeper? Loser's the weeper!"

So have you ever found money lying around? If so what do you do? Look to see if anyone is around who might have possibly lost it first? Or do you put it away right away? OR possibly leave it lying there?

I take it.

Take it of course. You never ask people if that's their money cause you know any sane person would say yes. Even if there were people around to see it I would take it, cause any ol' bum could just as easily say it's theirs just to make a quick buck.

I basically made a topic like this a few weeks ago, but whatever.

I take it, for the reason Coach stated.

I might leave it. I'm no pennypincher......even pennies are included.

I'll take it, regardless or not if it's a cash or cheque.

Take it. Why would I leave perfectly good money on the ground when I could go spend it?

suffice it to say, I found twenty bucks in school when I was in middle school. I said Hey, I just found 20$! and I told the teacher.. they took it. grr. then, a year before, I found 10$, and spent it, right. this kid lost 10$ and I was like. oh crap. so then I had to pay it back after but I never knew it was his. D: Next time I see cash on the ground unattended to, I'm still taking it. :P

I'd take it no matter the ammount. The most I've ever found on the ground was $10.

Who would not take money on the ground? Kind of weird to ask.

I would take it. If a person said that's mine, I would be like "......look! It's Superman!....." See if they look and run. It works all the time unless it's a wise person.

I think over here if the amount is over $20 you are required to turn the money over to the police. It's considered yours if nobody claims it after 30 days.

works every time, tough sometimes i have to split it with my friend for talking with me till it safe to take it

Even if it was over $20 and it was in the middle of the forest, or wherever Phil found it, I would just take it then.
You don't find money in the middle of the forest every day.
If it was like $100, then I would turn it in to the police.

Not really. 20+ I'd turn it in to the police (unless it's sitting in a random area like a mountain trail or something)

If I actually saw the person drop it, I'd give it back to them. Otherwise, it's mine.

I was in the queue for the cashpoint when the person who was infront of me walked away. I realised they had left the 50euros they had withdrawn. So I went chasing after her to give her her money. She was so grateful and then some random person stopped me and told me how good I was.
I felt so proud of me.

i found 45$ once,i being the good guy...took it ;p

If I knew the person who dropped it, then I would.

Like, the other day, My friend was asking if I can give him a whole 50 for his change 50. I said I didn't have any so he asked other people. Then I found a 20 near his seat, I asked him if he lost his 20..and he did. So yeah....

Otherwise...I keep it.
