Bah. I never really had a problem with Quickscoping. More the fact that 9 times out of 10 you don't have to be perfect to get the kill. With the way the hitboxes were designed in MW2, if you were quickscoping, your aim could be off, and you'd still get a kill. I was often killed by people aiming half a foot above, or to the sides of my characters head & still get the kill. Or I'd get killed with the sights of the other person a foot to the side of my characters body, whilst I'm still and be killed. That was with minimal to no lag as well.
It seems Olin was just blowing smoke out of his ****. It certainly doesn't look like any "gimping" has happened, except perhaps the ADS speed is the same as any other perk that isn't SoH Pro.

Eh, never cared to to try quick scoping but I don't really mind it. But it does get somewhat annoying if you get quick scoped from behind multiple times in a game.
^ No more annoying than having knobheads running around with the M203 out running around corners & jumping over crap then trying to get an explosive kill only to shoot it short, and get a rebound Direct Impact kill from the grenade bouncing & hitting your leg ;_;

I can't watch the videos, so I'll just say this: QS is possible in the Beta, hence any videos of it. However, Josh Olin said that it will be gone by the final game. And if it isn't, he'll be getting a hell of a lot of hate mail after saying it'll be gone.
Yeah, I can't say I'll miss "quick" scoping tbh. Whilst I could do it, I almost never did. I always found it more fun to pick people off from the edges of maps, use CB PRO & play dead in the grass with C4 & the Ghillie Suit & take down people as they run past. M21 works brilliantly with that.

I always felt like it was a "cheap" way to get kills. Mainly because of the reasons I mentioned earlier - Didn't have to be perfect aim to get the kill when QSing. I think it takes more skill to hang back, pick people off & relocate, all the while being aware of your surroundings etc than running in, a flick of the analogue stick, press L1 & a fraction of a second later pressing R1 & getting a kill.

How they attempt to stop Quick $coping: No ADS increase on SR's, adjusting sway when first pulling sights up (If you quick scoped correctly, you wouldn't need the sights) and 1HK are going to be upper chest and head, in final game.
I don't see it working TBH, they'll adapt and I'll rage at the overpowered 1HK at close range...
In theory, a rifle with a high enough calibre is a single shot kill in any part of the torso. Especially up close. It'd just blow a hole in the person regardless of the spot -,-

Yes, it would do massive damage to you, and head, chest stomach would kill. Limbs however..... I'm sure you all remember one Imran Zakhaev.
A simple solution for Quikscoping is to make it that up to a certain range (minimum "real" sniping distance, I'm no good at measuring distance) than sniper rifles have very low power
I highly doubt that BO would have maps that could utilise that function.
Wasteland & Derail and Fuel are the only maps from MW2 that even come close to "real" sniper distance and even then, with the fact that real Snipers lose damage (ie; velocity/bullet speed which = damage)over significant distance (even more with a silencer) - Monster calibre guns such as the Barrett (which is an "anti-material" rifle which can be utilised against light armoued vehicles) and the .408 (I think) of the Intervention; neither of them would lose any damage over the smaller distances in the CoD games, even with Silencers.
Plus with all the CQBs that CoD is famous for there'd be almost no-one using a Sniper if that were the case. I think the only solution is to severly gimp a persons ability to scope in. Gimp it to the point that it's almost impossible to do on the run. At the moment they're able to do it as fast as any AR or SR. Couple that with Lightweight Pro in MW2 it's severly unbalanced (which I took advantage of last night =D)
Reduced the ADS speed by 50 percent if a persons running. Leaving the rest of the gun categories unaffected. If that happens, people will be forced to switch to secondaries.

^ Might be steep but it'd have the desired effect lol.
Crosshairs wouldn't make much of a difference really. I mean, if people can consistently (this happened to me 6 times in one game by the same person in different spots, plus a double kill GWKcam from him - both lengthy no scopes) get long range no scopes using ninja/commando not steady aim, then I doubt they're using the cross hairs as reference & doing what I did in CoD4 & use the guns barrel tip as a point of reference. Took me ages to find the spot, but once I did I could no scope with a lot of success =D
So if people do figure that out, then taking the crosshairs wont affect them. Plus, with the way hitboxes are designed, you don't have to be perfect anyway.
