Intervention Vs Barrett .50cal

Pretty much, state you opinion on which is better and why..
I wanna find out which you guys think is better.
Im alright at sniping, wanna get better and wanna find out which gun is better.
Atm im using:

Barrett - FMJ + Thermal
Bling pro
Stopping power pro
Steady Aim pro

I dont quick scope and I miss shots a few times are moving targets.
I havent used Intervention so I cant compare thats why I came here and wanna find out which you guys think is better.

Intervention is too slow, and Barrett has too much recoil

Intervention because that's what Hutch uses

50Cal and Intervention are very much alike. Only thing different is one is Bolt and other is Semi-Auto. However the Semi-Auto (50Cal) has more recoil. As in power damage its about the same.

I use Intervention(Reg. Scope) most of the time

Sometimes I use the 50Cal(Thermal)

I use the 50.cal and find it way easier then the intervention.

I usually never miss and thats why i use the 50.cal cause the recoil doesnt affect me if the target is dead.If dont think i am taht good at snipering i have killed 2 guys in one shot and got a headshot on a moving target.

I am an equally good player with both, and am capable of destroying most people with both,but through my now over 5 days worth of play on the game, I've found the Intervention to be a much more consistent and 'get the job done' sort of gun. When I shoot a person in any place other than the foot, it's a kill, basically. While with the 50 cal I've found chest shots not to kill sometimes. The intervention is only weak at close quarters, but that's why I'm trying hard to improve my no-scope abilities. Some people get to the point where they can snipe you from 50 feet without even scoping in fully. I wouldn't say either gun is better than the other, it's just a matter of which you do better with. Use what works, is what I always say.

In all seriousness; I agree with almost everything Qwert has said. I am pretty good with no scoping. Although quick scoping is something I haven't gotten then hang of yet sadly.

I can use both the same equally. Im getting a lot better at quick scoping with the Intervention. But love the Barrett for long range shots with Thermal.

I definitely prefer the Barrett. I have nearly all the attachments so I have a primary for every purpose really. Silencer for hardcore, FMJ for regular Team Deathmatch or occasionally Thermal for maps like Wasteland or Rundown where visibility can be poor.

My perks are Slight Of Hand Pro, Stopping Power Pro and Steady Aim Pro.

Honestly - They're almost exactly the same to use.

I have noticed that the Barrett does get more hitmarkers for me than the Intervention. I know a lot of n00bs use the Barett because of the Semi factor so if they get caught in closequarters, they can spam R1/whatever it is for Xbox & hopefully get a hit.

I played a HCTDM in the weekend just been & did fairly well on Afghan. Still not used to the way the games run (spawn delays & such - that annoys me lol) but the M21 silenced did well for me. Went from adjusting to the game (0 kills 7 deaths) to 'in the zone' with 19 kills, 7 deaths @ the end of the game. lol

I Think The Intervention Is The Best Sniper. Because Its Bolt Action Its Recoil Is Controllable
One Shot NEARLY Anywhere Kills Them Barret Has 2 Much Recoil And Semi Auto Means Its Better For Close Quarters So My Choice: Intervention All Teh Way

I use the 50 Cal. just because of personal preference. They both have their ups and downs. I just like the Barret better.

You aren't supposed to use a sniper rifle for close quarters.

Yes, but everyone runs into an enemy at close quarters at some point while carrying a sniper.

Knife. Or switch to your secondary.

Knifing tends to not work if you're more then a few feet away, and switching usually takes too long.

Whenever I'm running around with a Sniper on close quarter maps (usually on Hardcore TDM) I switch to my secondary (M93 Raffica) until I get to a spot to set up, fortify with Claymores & then take a few people down before I move on again.

Core games; Intervention is my preferred sniper. Although I'm capable with all. Barrett is the second choice.

Hardcore games; M21EBR is my preferred - Stable & just seems to suit Hardcore modes best (to me anyway) WA2000 is the same, although I REALLY dislike the massive blindspot the gun has due to its height.

Ok just like to point out today that vsing my friend only using snipers(no greandes,knifing,or anything else)that the barret can easily overpower the intervention at long and close range.I beat him 52-31 and around 20 were close range. The Barrett is better at close range also because it has fires more bullets then the intervention in the same time.

In other words; you spam the fire button & hope you hit?

There's barely any difference between the two guns. Anyone skilled enough will only require 1 bullet to kill, whether that be long range, medium range, or short range. The fact that the Barrett can fire at a faster rate than the intervention doesn't make it better.

The Barrett has horrible recoil, the Intervention has less; making up for the fact that it is a bolt-action.
