MW2 is a completely different game MW1 because its a lot more defensive, the level designs in MW2 as well as the perks and guns encourage playing defensive. Where as in MW1 its more about running and gunning, you can set patterns to run on each level and run those patterns and do well.
If you really good at mw1 you can pretty much take the game over, however the way the levels are designed in mw2 makes it so if your really good you can have a big impact, but not take the game over as much as you could on mw1. I've never seen someone consistently go 30-10 on mw2, where as on mw1 I've not only seen people that consistently go 20 positive, but also have done it on a regular basis. There 2 different game's, I just think that mw1 is better for the competitive player.
