Nope, he has a balanced stat car.

So he's just like Crash and Cortex?

I believe so... Crash, Cortex, and Komodo Joe are the 3 balanced characters of the game.

If a character has a stat higher than 3, then you can count on them also having one that is lower. For example, Tiny has a speed of 4, but a turning ability of 2.

So every character is either average at everything, or has a compromise somewhere?

Yep. Like Coco and N. Gin: they have a great acceleration, but a lower top speed than Crash, Cortex, K. Joe and Penta. It's the same with Pura: Amazing turning, but extremely low speeds.

Then what's Oxide good and bad at? I thought he was good at everything...

Hmmmmm........I'd say his lack of slowing down.

But I mean in terms of Speed, Accel, and Turning.

Yeah I know. His mazing turning allows him to just about powerslide through 180 corners. Mind you: I beat his TIme Trial ghost with Ripper Roo cause Oxide brakes so hard and accel's slowly there.

Is that Slide Colliseum you're talking about?

I've only beat his ghost at SC.

Have you not been able to do any others? Well I'll give you a hint. It's kinda obvious, but for most of them it's best to go for N.Tropy or Penta. Some of them you can go whoever you like.

I just got N. Tropy's ghost today at Tiger Temple today, so that's two.

As I believe I mentioned before, I used the ARROW code, so my winnings weren't exactly legit. Still, I'm proud of my efforts, and I know that it can be hard sometimes to beat those ghosts without codes, because I've tried it before.

I found that Tiny, N. Tropy, and Penta were the best characters. Just a personal opinion, though.

I'm going to try without codes. It's more fun that way.

Here are three reasons why power-sliding is useful when confronting a ghost:

1: If you're ever faced with a straightway, start power-sliding. You'll notice that it will help, especially with Papu Pyramid's right angles.

2: Take advantage of as many shortcuts as possible. More hidden paths tend to open up if you're at a faster speed, which can be achieved by power-sliding.

3: Also take advantage of wide paths, such as those in Sewer Speedway. They can enable you to initiate a power-slide, which can help you gain speed on the ghost.

Yeah, a very big one in Sewer Speedway is where you need Power sliding and it's high up.
