Yeah, like the qualifying order. If you decide to be a special character in arcade mode (Penta, for instance) than it knocks Pura out since he was the last of the first 8 origionally unlocked.

I think that because the timing goes to thousanths of a second the odds of a tie are simply astronomical, or as William Shatner would say, "obsolete."

Speaking of ties, do any of you know what would happen if you tied the time for a relic / time trial run? In baseball, the tie goes to the runner, so I'd imagine that it would count as beating it.

Effectively. It varies in different sports as well. I mean in F1 one time there were 3 racers with the exact same times to every thousandth of a second so they just sorted them by points.

That's probably because you never did encounter a TIE. In addition it's possible that is what happened since it's sort of "tradition" in these kinds of games that if it is a tie the word tie comes in massive capital letters.
