Minerva

I beat Minerva after trying countless times. I used the Genji equipment. If anyone has beaten Minerva, I would like to hear your strategy.

Haven't gotten there yet. My PSP froze earlier so I gotta redo some missions <_<

I've beaten her, after being owned too many times. I think I went through about 30 odd Phoenix Downs in that battle.

My strategy, if you call it that were continously keeping the Phoenix status, dodging all but that ice attack while using Costly Punch. However a limit break ruined that move for me, luckily Minerva likes to kill me a lot so the HP break issue with Costly Punch isn't much of an issue. Also you have to have a huge amount of HP or that move that removes your Phoenix status will obviously finish the battle for you.

Does anyone know how you dodge that ice move, I roll at several different times, I've tried blocking.. she hits you 99,999 damage no matter what. I could dodge everything else but that special move she does.

I managed to dodge that ice special of minreva's once.I'm not sure how but you need perfect timing

I tried to dodge that too. Although that move doesn't always do 99,999 damage. It did 17,000 to me. Of course, that was after I maxed out my stats, since i didn't have max stats the first time.

Ah, I'm sure it always did 99,999 to me as it always KO'd me (my HP is in the 60,000's..), and my Spirit stat was in the 200's. Vitality was maxed to, so picture me confused.

I tried everything to dodge that attack, I learned how to dodge Thor's Hammer pretty quickly and it's such a similar move. Zack seems to freeze on the spot about a second before the move, I dunno.

He does freeze. The first time, i equipped Dash(before i realized you needed Guard) and the stupid attack still hit me. at the very least, i had 99 Phoenix Downs so when i faced her correctly, i had enough to last until the end.
