Who is the best character in the game.

In My opinion Zhao Yun is the best because he has a fine balance of all the character elements in the game. Plus, he has been one of the foremost characters in the dynasty warrior games.

It all depends on who you have a good feel for. Zuo Ci dosen't seem like much, but he's faster than Zhange He, stronger than Lu Bu, and more mystical than Zhang Jiao, Pang Tong, and Zhuge Liang put together. I'd say he's one of the best.

Ma Chao is deifinitely the best for Drive-bys. He is balanced for CC (Crowd Control, not Canadian Club) and one-on-one. I guess in the end it depends on what you decide what characteristics a good warrior should have. The main characteristics on my list (in order of importance) are style, Dueling, laying waste to the masses, weapon, and aesthetics. Ergo, I like Ma Chao, Zhang He, Zhuge Liang, Diao Chan, Zhu Rong, Gan Ning, Ling Tong, Sun Ce, and Sun Shang Xiang.

well if you get the god of wars (guan yu)stats up to max he is unstoppable

cao pi is cool too and i love it when huang zhong just fires arrows (pressin triangle 1 not the R1)and the enemies just let themselves get hit and die!!! lol

Xiahou Yuan can do that as well, and his last volley stuns anyone left alive as well, so if you ask me he's better than Huang Zhong.

But he's not the best in my opinion. Zuo Ci is almost certainly the best character (particularly if you give him the Wind Scroll to increase his attack range), but he's a cheat character really, so we won't go into him. Same goes for Lu Bu in a way, and possibly Zhang Jiao. In my opinion, disregarding those three... I'd say Zhang He is probably the best. He's excellent at both crowd clearing and duelling, he's good on horse, he's fast and he's got cool weapons. Don't like his aesthetics, but there you go - it doesn't actually affect gameplay, except in the round-about way of determining his part in history and thus his missions. He's not my favourite, but I still regard him as the best non-cheat character.

actuly i think lu bu is the best

Zou ci coz he has the power of lu bu and Guan yu and the mystical power of wu and wei (fire&ice) and his own little sparkle litarally purple lightning ( if you havent realised triangle\y can create ice and fire bombs) Also he has the power of shadow bursts and the fact that his 4th weapon has a power of 40.
