does this game begin after the battle of jack of blades and the sword of aeons or do you have to start from the begining of the game (from childhood onwards)

i had not reilised (spelling) that it was the first one just with the extra 40% at the end and stuff thanks anyway

its not 40 % more but more like 20% more you onlt got to another city above hook caost and i heard the demon door at the guild opens up after you defeat (not kill) defeat jack of blades something about prohets in ice ?:l
