you can rent it out to new shop keeper and make money from it, while still beign able to buy stuff from that town.

you can kill and entire town and buy every house which is cool you make loadfs of money from it and can still use the shops there.

Krahn is right, if you buy it and then rent it out, a new shop owner will show up with all the same stuff, but you will get a portion of profits
