That's not much earlier than me. I think I start on the 24th. That'll give me a bit of time to settle in with the DLC, but not much. Since I plan to get three characters to 30, I highly doubt I'll get there before school starts.

Mothership Zeta was awesome. All I need to do now is find the captive records and get any special weapons I missed.

Great new sig and avy from Eternal_Rage! Holy crap it's finally coming, MASS EFFECT 2.

I hear it's a competitive battle between Anchorage and Zeta for the worst, which is surprising. You'd think Zeta would be really good. At least you get weapons. FROM SPACE!!!!111

Anchorage so far as been my favorite. My friend has Zeta and he really likes it. I played some of it and it'll probably end up being my favorite.
Meh.

Anchorage was you're favorite? Seriously? Apart from some cool gear at the end, I thought it was tedious and boring. The Pitt was a million times better, and I bet Broken Steel and Point Lookout will be as well once I get my hands on them.

Well of course Broken Steel and Point Lookout will be better. The one kind of DLC I wanted was to play before the bomb. That was as close as to what I wanted as I'm going to get. I finally did get bored of it but it took me about 6 times. It was really fun and the Gary trick gave me the equipment I use now. I got bored of the Pitt. I felt like the arena was a great idea, but the execution was piss poor. It should've been something more like the arena in Oblivion. The Infiltrator was the only thing good about it, but that degraded fast. There really was nothing to explore. They could've done so much more with it.
Meh.

No area to explore? You mean, like the Steelyard? The largest area in the game next to the Capital Wasteland? Hunting ingots in that place was excilerating and awesome, and the rewards were great. Metal Blater? Awesome. Tribal Power Armor? Epic. Prederator? F-ing sick.

And talk about nothing to explore, Anchorage was as linear as it gets.

The Steelyard? That was tall, yes, but it really wasn't that fun. Once I did the Gary trick, I stopped using any other armor. most of those rewards went to my "Show my friend's the awesome stuff I have" locker. Not really something I use. Oh, and the Gauss Rifle is dongtacular. One of the few weapons I use now. You can't go off and explore during a ******* war. The Pitt had the ability to have some much more to explore but kept it to quest needed locations only.
Meh.

I greatly dislike the Gauss Rifle. Reloading after every shot isn't worth the extra power. If I want a scoped weapon, I'll use the Victory Rifle. If I want a rifle, I'll use Lincoln's Repeater. If I want an energy weapon I'll use the Metal Blaster or A3-21's Plasma Rifle. The Gauss Rifle is strong, but it lacks speed, which makes it generally worthless in my eyes.

The Steelyard was massive. Despite being tall, it had a large area, was generally creepy, and it had the power plant, which is one of my favorite locations in Fallout 3 now.

Besides, if you didn't look around, you missed a lot in The Pitt. There were hidden locations, aformentioned Power Plant, and an Apartment building full of Trogs, not to mention lots of other hidden places.

The Auto Axe is awesome, and it has a special version with possibly the best name in the game: The Man Opener.

Let's take a look at what Anchorage had, and what The Pitt had in terms of weapons, not counting the frickin' Gary Trick:

The Pitt:
Auto Axe (Man Opener, The Mauler, Steel Saw)
Infiltrator (Predorator, or however the hell it's spelled)
Metal Blaster
Wild Bill's Sidearm
Steel Knuckles

Anchorage:
Trench Knife
Gauss Rifle
Jingwei Shock Sword

That's an advantage to The Pitt. It has more, it has better (Auto Axe > Shock Sword, Preforator > Gauss rifle), and it has awesome weapons.

Now the armor, not counting Gary Trick.

Anchorage:
Winterized T-51b
Outcast Specialist Robe
Neural Interface Suit
Chinese Stealth Suit

The Pitt:
Ausher's Power Armor
Tribal Power Armor
Bombshell Armor
Filtration Helmet
Gamma Shield Armor
Hat of People
Laborer Outfit
Leather Rebel
Metal Master Armor
And many, many more.

The Pitt simply outclasses Anchorage. Better plot, better weapons, cooler locations, better quests, better armor, and more fun. I'll tell you, I've got like three or four characters I'm working on, and every time I went through the DLCs with them, I dreaded Anchorage but looked forward to The Pitt.

Th Auto Axe is god awful. I used it and I do better damage with the Trench Knife. The majority of that armor was just added to the pile of generic armor to find on Raiders. I looked around the Pitt, but there was really nothing special. The main problem I had with it is that you basically fight Trogs (amazingly easy kills), Wildmen (hardly find any of them and are also easy to kill), or Pitt Raiders (they aren't in the Steelyard though) which gets boring fast.
Meh.

So, you rather shoot the same chinese commando over and over again rather than Raiders, Wildmen, and lots of different Trogs? Lots of variety with Anchorage in enemies. Chinese commando, slightly different chinese commando, Chinese general, turret, my god, they must have been up for weeks coming up with that sutff.

The Auto Axe is awesome. It tears everything apart. The Trench Knife looks cool, but it's not very useful. The Man Opener and The Mauler are still some of the best Melee weapons in the game.

It's true that a lot of it is Raider Gear, but a lot of it looks really, really cool. All that Anchorage has is the T-51b Winterized (And I like Tribal Power Armor over this), and the Chinese Stealth Suit, and the Chinese Stealth Suit isn't anything unless you have the Preforator.

And at least the Pitt had a good plot. It was constructed well, and had me really anticipating the twists and turns in it. There are some Communists, go kill them in a simulation, about sums up Anchorage.

Guys, I'm going to do a rundown of every worthwhile item in all the DLCs.

Anchorage:
Trench Knife
Chinese Stealth Armor
Winterized T-51b Power Armor

Pitt:
Infiltrator
The Mauler
Perforator
Metal Blaster
Wild Bill's Sidearm
Ashur's Power Armor
Bombshell Armor
Gamma Shield Armor
Hat of the People
Tribal Power Armor

Broken Steel:
The Tesla Cannon
Callahan's Magnum
Heavy Incinerator
Precision Gatling Laser
Rapid-Torch Flamer
Slo-Burn Flamer
Tri-Beam Laser Rifle
Composite Recon Helmet
Enclave Hellfire Armor
Lag-Bolt's Shades
Lag-Bolt's Combat Armor
Wig

Point Lookout:
Backwater Rifle
Bio-Gas Canister
Double-Barrel Shotgun
Fertilizer Shovel
Lever-Action Rifle
Microwave Emitter
Ritual Knife
The Dismemberer
Toy Knife
Confederate Hat
Cryptochromatic Spectacles
Desmond's Eyeglasses
Grifter's Fit
Pint-Sized Slasher Mask
Handyman Jumpsuit

Zeta:
Cryo Grenade
Cryo Mine
Paulson's Revolver
Samurai's Sword
General Chase's Overcoat (If it gets patched.)
Paulson's Outfit
Spacesuit.

So, in terms of weapons, it's gotta be Point Lookout, armor for the Pitt.

Though, if we go in terms of actual gameplay, Point Lookout wins, hands down. But storywise, The Pitt blows the other four away.

Also, Zeta was disappointing. The only thing fun about it was getting the unscoped Magnum.

... and maybe playing with the Cryo 'Nades/Mines.

Ok I'll straighten this out. Anchorage was a boring chore you do to get a reward that was almost not enough to cover for the awesome boring feeling you got through the whole questline. The Pitt was more fun aaand did give you quite a variety of things to get by doing tasks that were actually not that boring at all(omg I agreed with Loony). Broken Steel wins hands down in terms of perks and content not to mention the level cap getting raised. Point Lookout was the most fun to go through and that one good perk it has was a nice plus. Mothership Zeta is pretty boring now that I've played through my second time, but an automatic rifle that does 202(or was it 206) damage is crazy, and no I wasn't shooting Psycho when I looked at it's damage.
So:
Anchorage: nothing exciting at all really

Pitt: good variety

Broken Steel: best all-arounder so I think it wins

Point Lookout: fun questline

Mothership Zeta: best weapons ever

There a simple breakdown of all the DLCs.

Great new sig and avy from Eternal_Rage! Holy crap it's finally coming, MASS EFFECT 2.

To be perfectly, honest, I go through Anchorage for the Chinese Stealth Suit. I don't use the Gauss Rifle too much, and I don't use the Winterized T-51b too much. Sometimes, but I like to mix it up and use Tribal Power Armor, Ranger Battle Armor, exc.
More importantly, GETTING to the area for Anchorage is one of the most annoying tasks in the game. It may sound like a promising idea, teaming up with the Outcasts to fight your way to their base, but the execution is aweful. If you accidentally do ANY damage to ANY outcast, they all become hostile, which is a pain in the ***. Okay, I'll use a shotgun. Oh no, a stray pellet touched and Outcast and now they all hate me. Okay, I'll use explosives. Oh wait, it splashed and hit them. Now machine gun? Nope, stray round hit an outcast. You pretty much need to use Melee weapons and single shot weapons the whole way there, which is a giant pain. After that, it's boring linear fights.
The last fight with you, the scribe, and the leader taking on the other outcasts also seems promising, and does provide entertainment, but the F-ing scribe runs into the armory and steals your flamer, so I hope you didn't want that, because you probably won't get it.

Getting Broken Steel and Point Lookout in a few days. I assume I'm not missing much in Zeta except for a few cool weapons.
