I am going to be getting fallout 3 and a shiny new Xbox 360 to go with it in about a week and am possibly also going to be getting "Microsoft points" and was wondering which DLC if any should I get for fallout 3?

Which one was the longest?

The most interesting?

The most added to the game?

And overall the best add on?

I will probably only get enough Microsoft points to buy one add on so please tell me which one you thought was the best.

Broken Steel. It raises the level cap from 20 to 30 (Which is huge. If you don't have this, you'll be mad when you first hit the cap at 20.) it adds new locations, new missions, new weapons, and it revises the crappy ending it originally has.

If you can only get one, it has to be Broken Steel. If you can get two, I'd suggest The Pitt or Point Lookout. I haven't played Zeta yet, but I can definitely say that Operation: Anchorage is pretty boring. Other than the Chinese Stealth Suit and the Winterized T-51b, it's a waste of time. I've also heard that Mothership Zeta was pretty lacking.

tl;dr - Get Broken Steel.

All of them for achievements Smile

I'll answer all of your questions.

Which one was the longest?-Either Point Lookout or Broken Steel

The most interesting?-Broken Steel

The most added to the game?-Broken Steel

And overall the best add on?-Broken Steel

Loony pretty much sums it up. In order, I'd Recommend Broken Steel, Point Lookout, Mothership Zeta, Operation: Anchorage, and The Pitt.

Thank you for the information. I thought that broken steel would have been the best pick but wasn't sure. Thank you for reinforcing my thoughts. If anyone one has any further thoughts on a second possible DLC to purchase please let me know.

Thank you

As I said, The Pitt and Point Lookout are good runners up. Of the two, I think I enjoyed The Pitt more, and it has better weapons, but Point Lookout has more content.

Point Lookout is 2nd best. The stuff you get in the Pitt is stuff you're going to want to sell later or right away. Point Lookout has some super sex stuff you'll keep forevah.
Meh.

Well, The Pitt has the Metal Blaster, one of the best energy weapon in the game (Next to the Tesla Cannon, and maybe the Gatling Laser Class). It also has the Silenced Scoped Assault Rifle, the Infiltrator, and it's unique version, the Perforator. It has the Auto Axe, the Steel Knuckles, the Tribal Power Armor, Wild Bill's Side Arm (Not too useful, but somewhat fun.) and a lot of other stuff. I found literally no weapons in Point Lookout worth my time with the possible exception of the Backwater Rifle (Although I'd take Lincoln's Repeater over it any day of the week). The Dismember and Fertilizer Shovel are sort of fun, but not useful.

Well I just got the game, and this is technically loosely on topic, How much space do the DLCs take up? You know in MB.
Thank you in advance.

The DLCs take up something like 400-600 MB.

That is alot considering that I only have an arcade Xbox 360, I only have like 200 MB and it would take 170 MB to get Xbox live with the updates, which a necessary to have Xbox live.

You got an Arcade? Why?

That space wasn't going to last you anyways. My HD (I dunno how big it is, but it's bigger than 200 MB) after about twenty games and four DLC is about half full. Trust me, you just need to buy a hard drive.

Point Lookout was the best. Broken Steel was alright, but once you complete the quest, you've nothing else to do. Point Lookout on the other hand has a lot more to explore

Which one was the longest?
Point Lookout. Unless you only feel the need to do the story, if that's the case, you really shouldn't be playing this game.

The most interesting?
It's a tie between The Pitt and Point Lookout.

The Pitt gives you a story that outdoes Point Lookout. That, and the new weapons, armor, and (probably one of my favorite things) the ammo press.

Point Lookout gives you a story... Well, honestly it's a great story. It'll stick with you for a long time. Lacking a good selection of weapons and armor, though. But then you are allowed to explore. Something many people wanted from the previous DLCs. If all you do is finish the main quests, it may last you two hours, which is the norm for Bethesdas DLCs. But, if you decide to explore. Not only will you get one of the most fulfilling experiences in the game, but hours more of enjoyment.

The most added to the game?
Broken Steel. No contest. It changes the ending to let you play longer, raises the level cap, adds more items, weapons, enemies, places, and NPCs.

And overall the best add on?
Broken Steel. For the reasons above.
