So, I made a Deathclaw Gauntlet. I felt the need to "test" it in Megaton. I killed everyone at Moriarty's besides Gob (who was huddled in a corner), after I decided I had killed everyone besides him, I attacked him. He ran to the back door, and I hit VATS before he completely left.
A few missed strikes later, and I'm in a world of brown.
