No, not confusing. However, I enjoy knowing more than than absolute basic minimum about things.

Oh another thing popped to mind. It's much less mysterious, and less wild places, like Dunwhich Building, or the Deathclaw Sanctuary, or the Old Herman Mine (Or whatever it was called). As you said, it's much more tame. Far too much.
Oh but the worst thing, of all, ever, in the entire game, are Cazadores. Evil little flying monsters are impossible to kill, and do way too much damage.
Fallout 3 had its fair share of glitches, and I managed to putt through 200+ hours of that. Besides, in my... what, 8-10 hours thus far, I haven't come across many serious glitches. I expect that to change, but thus far, it's on par with Fallout 3 in terms of glitches, so I don't think that will really be much of a problem.
I suppose that's a fair point. But then again, its tameness also allows for a whole new type of gameplay. Rather than total exploration based (although a lot of that is still present), this is more objective and quest based, which I felt Fallout 3 lacked in quite a bit. I think it's an interesting experiment thus far, and if nothing else, it'll give us a whole new look on how the Fallout world can be done.
Haven't seen any of those yet, but there's probably some trick to them, even if it's just shooting a Mini-Nuke at them.
One thing that New Vegas did do far better than Fallout 3, however, is implimenting skills into conversations better, particularly speech. By making it a "Either you have enough points to pass or don't", you actually have incentive to put points in Speech rather than simply save and reload a million times for a particular speech challenge you want to pass. Plus, it actually makes the new "Temporary Skill Magazines" far more useful than I would have thought. I often find myself pulling one out to be able to unlock a particularly hard door, pass a speech challenge, or for whatever other reason.
Really? only 8-10? Well, one of the largest glitches I've come across is that they've put barriers on the tops of most rock faces, meaning you can't climb over them. Other glitches include my follower, Boone, often getting caught in doors, or walls. Another is that NPCS often gather on the same spot, in other words, standing on each other.

You lucky, lucky, boy. They're like giant butterflys, they move constantly, and sting/poison you. For when you do meet them, I found a caravan shotgun to be the best.

Eh, the worst thing is they leave no sort of tolerance. If you're even a single point off, there's nothing you can do. Sure you can quit the conversation and put on clothes, read a magazine, etc, but that isn't always an option. Another good thing they've done too is including more skills into conversation. It's usually just speech and barter, but I for one have noticed a lot more sneak, guns, etc being included into it.
Just put my first mod onto a gun today, and they really did an excellent job when it comes to those. Really natural looking.

Yeah, only 8-10. My parents are really strict about my time playing video games, so it's hard to really get much time into this. Huh. All I've really come across is the ocasional NPC being caught in a solid object or my character's arms ocasionally glitching up in first person. I mean, I fully expect the game to freeze up in the future, but I haven't had any serious glitches thus far. I hope a few of them are at least humorous, like the No-Clip building in The Pitt or the flying Deathclaw.

It is true that you don't always have a chance to use your skill increasing abilities, but still, I find it to be a vast improvement over Fallout 3's style, which esentially made Speech useless to put points into.

I think I've only used 2 mods thus far. An extended clip on a 9mm pitol and a silencer on the Varmint Rifle. I think they're pretty damn cool.
I'm also finding the disk to be a bit....fragile. It's after freezing a few times, and something weird with the fallout disks means that I can't always use the L2 and R2 buttons (3rd person, VATS, Mods, hotkey). It's not the controllers either.
After no lifeing the game for 3 days, amassing 35+ hours, I completed it today. No, I didn't do everything. Decent enough story though.
I suppose one of my biggest glitch issue is that I've had the shooting lock up on me a few times, but I've managed to get it working again pretty quickly.
I plan to No-Life the game this weekend, hopefully make it mostly through the game... I did manage to sneak two hours in last night and got to the strip. Being filthy rich from stealing everything that isn't nailed down has its merit, I suppose.
It's 1:40 in the morning. I've spent all day on PS. But believe it or not, I've completed it on Hardcore. 1 day, 4 hours later. Just did the story though. Now I'm tired -_-
The trick to breaking big in Vegas is to play Roulette. Save before starting, stay on the same number, if you lose 20k before number is called, load back. Save when number's called, and repeat. Made 50k this way
I haven't had a chance to check out the casinos yet (Other than Lucky 38, which I'm currently scouering for the lost snow globe), but I assume it'll be a blast.
