You all got the question about Barret's wife wrong. Barret's wife was called Myrna. Eleanor was Dyne's wife. Quotes for proof:
Barret (in flashback): "...besides, I don't want my wife, Myrna, to suffer anymore..."
Barret (Ropeway Station [after flashback): "Not only did they take advantage of me, but I lost my wife Myrna too. That's...that's why I get so p!ssed off..."
Marlene is actually Dyne's daughter and Barret fostered her when he thought Dyne had died, not telling her that he wasn't her real father. Play through the Corel/Gold Saucer part of the game again if you don't believe me.
Anyway, could we stick to Final Fantasy VII questions here please?
Use the Buggy to get back to Costa Del Sol, then ride on the Cargo Ship WITH the Buggy back to Junon. Using the Buggy, cross the river northwest of Junon and you will see a cave. Enter the cave and there will be a sleeping old man inside. Talk to him when you've fought a number of battles with the last two digits are the same number (122, 788, 499 etc). He will wake up and give you Mythril. He should sometimes tell you the number of times you've fought, so you should be able to figure out how many times you've fought overall rather easily.
Get back to Costa Del Sol (with the Buggy, of course, or you won't be getting very far) and continue south to the Gongaga area. Visit the Weapon Seller (found in a lone house on a peninsula streching out from the Gongaga area. Incase you're still lost, he's the original owner of the Keystone) he'll agree to let you open up one of two boxes in exchange for the Mythril. The box upstairs contains Aeris' Great Gospel limit break. Incase you're interested in what's downstairs, it's only a Gold Armlet.

You have to have the last two digits of your number of battles, the same e.g 100, 233. Youn then talk to the sleeping old guy, if the last two digits are the same, he'll wake up and give you a Mythril.
Then, take a trip to the Junon area, and along the east coast you'll find a small house. Go inside, talk to the man and give him the Mythril. Once done, ask to open the top box. You will then recieve the Great Gospel limit.
List all parts of the main quest where you are forced to take a certain character with you, and are forced to use a certain character as the main protoganist.
well you are forced to play as tifa to search for cloud, and you are forced to play as Barret when escaping Junon, form being captured. you have to play as aeris when escaping Shinra co. and you play as Cid as mentioned above.
Well, he got the protonagist part right, actually. But none of you have mentioned what parts of the game you need to take a certain character along with you in your party regardless of the protonagist.
ok i think i have the right idea, if you are mentioning playing as Cloud and bringing a character forced then i think this is what it is.
1. forced to take aeris in disk 1. for after the second reactor mission when you meet her in the church slums. and in the temple of Anctions. and during the date scene(if that counts.)
2. disk 2. you take Cid on the rocket to get the huge materia. (i know there's more give me alittle more thought)lol.
Green: Breed a Great and a Good chocobo with a Carob Nut (stolen from Vlakvorados which roam south of Bone Village).
Blue: Breed a Great and a Good chocobo with a Carob Nut.
Black: Breed a Green and a Blue chocobo with a Carob Nut.
Gold: Breed a Black chocobo and a Wonderful chocobo with a Zeio nut (stolen from Goblins on Goblin Island, which is north-east of Midgar. The Goblins are only found in the forest).
Chocobo locations:
Great: Mideel area chocobo tracks (quite common)
Good: Gold Saucer area chocobo tracks (uncommon)
Wonderful: Icicle area chocobo tracks (very rare)
The higher the racing class, the bigger your chances are of producing a rare chocobo.
Abilities:
Blue: Can cross over any shallow body of water.
Green: Can cross over mountains and cliffs.
Black: Can cross over any shallow body of water and can cross over mountains and cliffs.
Gold: Can cross over oceans in addition to the qualities of the above mentioned chocobos. Basically a slower Highwind that can land anywhere.
I didn't want to go into huge detail, just the essential points should be enough.
