Happened the same with me, one of the reasons why I started again. You could always try the Henne Mines, but the chances of getting it are about 1/1000, which basically sucks.

Yeah I found that sometimes its better not to use that amulet..as the majority of the times all it gives you is that knot of rust.

ultima is a tough battle ivew never fought her but my friend has... ive been to giruvegen(i think) and i didnt take my time to find anything but im going to when i start playing again... wich will probably soon... and the Zodiac Spear is a bit over-rated but if u use it u will see why.

UPDATE: I just got ULTIMA!!! Hard has hell! didn't get Zodiac Escutcheon though.

last night i defeted gil snapper and croakadile... ya i suck. lol i aslo killed the rare game called rain dancer. i killed him 4 times in the same hour. easy o spwan him.

go to giza plains while its raining and stay close to the waters.

No, it's using Gambits. Look at my hint in the Hints Section for FFXII.

Well I beat the game at ~120 hours. The levels of all my characters up were up in the 80s. ^^ I had only done one hunt during the storyline, but then I did about the first 20 hunts and hunts 42-44. And after that, I went and obtained all the espers.

That's where I'm currently at. ;O I doubt I'll be able to do much more because with school approaching and such, I don't want to get too distracted with the game. So I'll start my withdrawal now. ;_;

ya v i did the samething i did the 1st few hunts druring the story line then never did anymore... now im close to beating the game but i dont want to yet becasue im going back and doing all the hunts and espers... it sucks.

I just filled up everyone's license boards. I also upped everyone's level by about 10. Gonna say exact numbers later, I'm still autoing.

Giruvegen is a pain. You have to go through it to get to the Great Crystal.

The Great Crystal is a pain! It took me 3 hours just to get TO Ultima, not to mention what I had to put through on the way back! Then I found out that I can get back there, but only if I use the Way Stone near Ultima, so then I had to go all the way back to Ultima! and then put up with Giruvegan.

I have yet to defeat Yiazmat and Omega MK XII, but that's it.

They're both a pain. Yiazmat for the amazing amount of HP, Omega for the location. I'm NOT getting into the Great Crystal again.
