Is it just me or...

Yeah, its different though, since Squall and Seifer's Gunblades didnt actually fire at the enemy. They just used the force of the blast to increase the damage of the sword. But this one actually acts as a proper gun

I like this battle system better, hands down.

I like this one better, because after 1000 battle sequences, it get's really old to watch the screen melt away (I liked the shatter one a lot though). But it makes the game more like Kingdom Hearts (I compare the two games for everything) and makes it a RTS (Real Time STrategy I think that's what it's called). And takes away some of the more tactical moves, or at least makes them more of a pain in the rear to preform. I can't think of a good blend between the two, but the idea of if the monster touches you it goes to the battle sequence, I hated that in all the other final fantasy's (Running away from somewhere with monsters chasing you). I like it random sometimes, but sometimes I just want to run through without fighting.

by the way, leveling up was a way faster of a process in the older ones... it takes forever to level up in Twelve! At least to me it does, I think its where you have to run around alot so the monsters will respawn in the area.

Thanks for welcoming me back... But yeah, I love this battle system. And Repner, I've played 10, but for like 5 minutes. And yes, leveling takes a while until you get the embroidered tippet.

I have that item but still it takes so long. wheres the best place to level up? Im at the Henne Mines where you get the last Esper.

Try the subtarranean levels of the Pharos

The best place to level is Giruvegan. Fight the Behemoth lookin' dudes.

I hated the subtarranean levels of the pharos coz everything looked the same.

well Giruvegan wasnt that much better because I like as place and area that has apoint in the game not a place just added as a place to fight enemies...but thats just like most RPG's but I love them so much lol

Yes that helped very much thank you. And that place DID have a point. It was the pathway to the Great Crystal, which was host to the Sun Cryst. Sorry for the spoilers everyone XD
