The Hell Wyrm is in the Sochen Cave palace. You should be around level 70-80, and use whichever characters you have strongest.

Level 50 should be fine, One char with Reverse+Decoy, One Beserked damage dealer, and one healer/support.
Cast Beserk on the Wyrm, and your done and done, Easy.

you can beat him at lvl 50 but you wont be hitting him too hard

its not a hunt...as for getting there you have to enter from old archades and only open this door and eventually it will make a circle...once that happens it will tell you some door has opened,thats the door to the hell wyrm

u should be fine with the hell wyrm at lvl 50 he is stupidly easy for ppl at lvl 70-80 no way easy at ll 50 but make sure u have zodiac spear and especially excalibur with the stronget party member as he is dark dragon and weak to holy and u should be fine ...(takes around half an hour)

the battle was a real disappointment though,I mean you can go and save your game if you dont think you can do it,and then finish the battle tomorrow,or whenever you feel like it,his hp will remain the same

you can leave the battle,go and save your game and come back later to finish it...actually you can do this
take down one bar of his health everyday and then after a couple of days you have beaten the hell wyrm
