I never tried it on him since he is a high ranking mark I thought he would be immune to it.

His HP is cut in half if you fight him on the first level of the lower levels of the pharos. If you fight him anywhere else he'll have full health.

I'm pretty sure he's weak against holy if you have the excalibur that should help.

Yeah the enemies in the lower levels of the pharos are really took me a while to get to him too they just keep coming.

Just keep going up and down the elevator. If there are enemies in the first level, he's not there. If there's no enemies, Ixion is there.

Haha, I haven't even gone back to the Pharos to go to the lower levels.
I need to go deep into the Great Crystal, the Henne Mines, Pharos, just got to the deep part in the Lhusu Mines.. gah, I got a long way to go.

I was around level 60 when I took down Ixion, it took a lot of work but I did it. And no I don't think I've ever been below the first level where I fought Ixion.

I only unlocked 2 of the 4 floors trying to get the black orbs down there was really frustrating. I think its best if you get the max amount of black orbs when you 1st enter the pharos at ridorana because they are easier to get there.

Haha, topic changed, my question got answered.
I went down there, and all those frogs and horses killed me in a matter of minutes. So I reloaded, did all the upgrade spells, protect, shell, faith, etc, and I killed them all. Then a second fleet came and I died.

They constantly keep coming just go into the rooms on each floor thats what you have to do anyway to get the orbs and unlock each floor but there are powerful enemies in the rooms too. Its best if you are on a high lvl before you go there anyway.
