I probably won't be using many laguz units because their human attacks will be nothing compared to their beast form attacks. Moreover, they have poor defence, resistance and dodge in human form (with the exception of Ulki).

but maybe their ability to attack in human form may make them more useful, rather than a useless target when not in best form...
Laguz as humans may have good dodge (i think they might be similar to a thief unit?)

Well, when laguz were in human form in Path of Radiance, they had better dodge. It all depends on the unit I guess. I'll have to test things out.

True, if the unit is rubbish then there's no point of using it just because it can attack more often.

Yeah. I used to like laguz when I first played through Path of Radiance. Eventually I just the early ones were basically pre-promotes who could only attack 60% of the time.

pretty much the only laguz i used early on was lethe. Hopefully in goddess of dawn, you don't get a useless exp eater like titania early on.(though she was a good tank, and helpful in hardmode =P )

I used to think Lethe was pretty good, but now I only use her to recruit Zihark (being a perfectionist who recruits all characters and finishes the game without losing any).

The only thing I use Titania for is as a weaponless human shield throughout Chapters one through seven or to weaken enemies for my weaker units that have much more potential to kill in Difficult. In Easy and Normal, I just place her in the corner of the map and leave her there. Same goes for Shinon. I never kill with her.

I find Shinon quite useful to use at the start of the game because his iron bow wasn't strong enough to kill anything, but was just right for weakening enemies to help Soren level up.

Soren was annoying to level up.

On the level where you get Zihark, did you bother to not kill the vigilantes(random sword fighters that were with Zihark)?
Also i think that Zihark looks a alot like Lyon from Sacred stones.

I wonder how good the third tier classes will be. it would be interesting to see if the cpu gets them as well.

Also with the comeback of dark magic, would this mean we now have two trinities of magic( Anima > Light > Dark and the other one which i just blanked on.)

I always kill the Vigalantes, simply because, even though they give bad experience points, they give you more experience points than bonus experience points.

I think the magic trinity from Path of Radiance will stay the same, with Dark and Light neutral as Light was on Path of Radiance. I heard that Thunder and Dark magic have poor hit rates this time around though.

That wasn't the case everywhere. Besides, I thought in some cases it provided some nice balances. For example, Mages and Sages were regarded as dangerous enemies due to most characters having poor Resistance. Despite that, they were a lot easier to kill because of their poor Defence, so it evened things out.

It would've been better though if most of the character weren't one extreme (shed load of res) or the other (no res).

Yeah, i suppose they might've did that for balance.(seems i'm still in the age of Uber Heroes in FE and Sacred Stones).

A few had balanced Resistance, such as Ike.

But more units were in the extreme stat groups than balanced.

True. I found that either the units were great in the efficient areas, or they were bad units.

Indeed, shame there were more bad/alright units. With all but one of PoR's character's returning I hope that some of the new units are good or that the returning units are made better, otherwise it'll be back to my PoR lineup.
