Game Publisher THQ announced today that players of its hit mixed-mode simulation-based fighting franchise, WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw would receive some unique and personal attention in the form of a direct game-to-web conduit that will showcase their play and creativity, as well as the chance to immortalize their created character in the form of an action figure.
New Web Social Exchange
The game-to-web functionality -- called Community Creations -- works in conjunction with the official community website for the game, community.smackdownvsraw.com, and permits the players to upload in-game screen-shots taken in the XBox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, sharing them on the site with the world.
Players will have the opportunity to post and share up to four screen-shots each, in a personal gallery that is divided into categories like Action Shots, Created Superstars, Tattoos, and more, allowing visitors to the website to sort all of the uploaded images either by their category, or by the name of the player in order to see all of the images submitted by a player regardless of the categories they are filed under.
Taking advantage of the interactive capabilities of the more popular social media websites, players will be able to tag images, comment upon them, and share their favorites with friends on a variety of services.
Immortalize your Created Superstar as an Action Figure!
In addition to this expanded web and social content, the company announced a related contest that will have the winning players see their custom created Superstar Character immortalized as an action figure! Players will be able to select one of their four screen-shots shared in the Community Creations gallery to be entered in the contest, which is expected to run for approximately one month, with a winner slated to be chosen at the beginning of next year.
Full contest rules and submission details are available on the Community Website.
