Personally Longshot is one of my favorite 2 wepons I am a sucker for sniper rifles in any game.

i dont normally use the sniper in any other game but i loved it in gears of war im tough with it too so u gottA cover ur head

I only use it in need, like 1 on 1 and the other dude has the boomer...I get it, run away, hide, headshot..... If not, I hide and wait for him to either chainsaw him, or blow him up with my shottie.

I'm decent with the sniper on certain maps, it's like a guarenteed headshot each match.

Snipers are awesome weapons in any game. I use the sniper all the time!

i use sniper when ever i can! i may not always get the headshot but i really try too =] im pretty good at sniping. im getting better at blindfires now lol. once in one 7 round game (of course it lasted more than 7 rounds, but you know what i mean i hope lol), i got 23 headshots =] lol it was 4 on 1 though soo it makes the game a little bit more impressive lol. btw i lost the game but i didnt make it easy for them =P
